The Research Institute of Tropical Root and Tuber Crops (INIVIT) is situated at latitude 22, 35’ and 80, 18’ above sea level and 45,35 msnm; it belongs to Santo Domingo municipality, 250 km from the capital of the country and 35 km from the capital of Villa Clara province, Cuba.
